In the small town of Calexico in the US, Angie is separated from her mother who lives in Mexicali on the other side of the border. Until her Mum is granted access to the US, she can only see & talk to her through the rusty gaps in the iron wall between the two towns.

Watch Towers of the Sinai

All across the Sinai you see Egyptian military bases and checkpoints. It’s pretty much a militarised zone. In the baking heat you see guards (often snoozing) aloft these crumbling strange little watchtowers.
